Natural Baby Care Tips
The day you finally get to hold your long-awaited baby, you feel that nothing can ever get in between the two of you. All that counts from that moment on is to keep your baby healthy and happy. Having a baby is an easy thing, but if you follow some simple guidelines, taking care of your little person will be easy as well.
Many people have come to choose cloth diapers over disposable ones. They are just as sanitary as disposable ones, and they are better for baby.
You can do a few things to ensure your diapers are really clean and fresh: Used diapers should be immediately disposed of inside of a diaper pail. Empty the diaper pail every other day in order to keep the stink at bay. Start with a cold rinse, and then do the actual washing in hot water.
You only need to use about a quarter of the recommended amount of detergent to avoid chemicals to bother the baby’s delicate skin. You can also rinse twice in warm water. Some parents do an extra rinse just to be safe and then dry on warm. Whatever you do, don’t use harsh chemicals like bleach or stain remover. Even fabric softeners can be harmful to a baby.
If you’ve decided to breastfeed as an alternative choice for bottle feeding, good for you! Breast feeding is beneficial to the baby, the mother and even the planet. Your body will thank you. Breastfeeding is one of the most natural and basic processes, and it is an important one. Since his first days, baby will be provided with important antibodies through breast milk.
Breast-fed babies are more resistant to infection, asthma, rashes, stomach problems and even obesity.
If you decide breastfeeding just isn’t right for you, that’s okay too! Many women tend to opt out of breastfeeding so that they can go back to work and so their partner will have just as much of an opportunity to feed the baby as they do.
Many companies provide natural brands of organic baby formula, such as soy formula. There are also different recipes for homemade formula. Check with your doctor to see if homemade formula is right for your baby.
You can make goat’s milk formula by mixing together 12-13 ounces of goat’s milk and 18-19 ounces of mountain spring water. You can add two tablespoons of sugar and mix it in. Warm it with hot water from the tap, but make sure the milk is warm – not hot.
